The Alice in Borderland Season 3 trailer shows Arisu racing to save Usagi before time runs out.
Based on Haro Aso’s manga, the Netflix series premiered in 2020 and completed the story by Season 2. Season 3, debuting September 25, 2025, introduces an original narrative. The trailer shows Borderland pulling Usagi back, forcing Arisu to follow. Separated, they join different teams, relying on new allies to survive. The footage highlights a train crash, a dice game, and a shrine under flaming arrows.
Kento Yamazaki commented, “Since Arisu and Usagi are split into separate teams, I found it interesting to see the different atmospheres and character dynamics within each group. Over the seasons, the characters have become so beloved by fans, and I think that’s why the audience can really empathize with them during the life-or-death moments” (via Netflix).
Tao Tsuchiya added, “Everything Usagi has experienced in the past seasons is now part of her story, so whenever I needed to, I would go back and rewatch Seasons 1 and 2. With Season 3 featuring an original story, I felt it was important to approach this role with everything that’s happened so far in mind.”
The season also introduces the “Joker” stage, teased in the trailer and visual poster. Yamazaki described the flaming arrows sequence as “striking in the original manga.” He added, “When I read the manga, I was blown away by the flaming arrows. When I saw the script for this scene, I thought, ‘It’s here!’”
Tsuchiya urged viewers to watch the dice game. She said, “As the players become more desperate, everyone’s performances become more intense and dramatic. I think this game really captures the essence of Alice in Borderland.”
Alice in Borderland Season 3 streams on Netflix from September 25, 2025.
