First Trailer for ‘Devil May Cry’ Animated Series from the Video Game

“I know better than to trust a demon.” The Gates of Hell open April 3rd! Strap in! Netflix has unveiled the first full trailer for an animated series called Devil May Cry, an action-packed anime based on the popular video game series of the same name (which is now up to Devil May Cry on PS5). The new series is showrun by animation mastermind Adi Shankar. He states: “I’m honored that Netflix and Capcom have entrusted me to shepherd the Devil May Cry franchise. Alex Larsen and I love these characters, we are part of the fandom, and vow to surpass the exceptionally high bar we set for ourselves.” In this animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. When a mysterious villain threatens to open the gates of Hell, a devilishly handsome demon hunter could be the world’s best hope for salvation. Dante is unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck. Animated by Studio Mir in Korea. The voice cast includes Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante, Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Kevin Conroy asVP Baines, and Chris Coppola as Enzo. This looks hyper-violent and explosive and vibrant! As it should – might end up being damn good.
