You know, as people who have cats, we don’t think that living with one is such a big deal. We don’t think that we would have a problem living with our partner’s cats either. Heck, even if our cat (god forbid) passed, we still wouldn’t have an issue living with our partner’s cat. But apparently some people do have a problem with it.
We think that it’s because these people don’t understand cats. That’s the only thing that would explain why from – someone would say that they are not able to handle being ‘second’ to the cat, or why someone would ask their girlfriends to choose between them and the cat, or why someone would call their girlfriend unhygienic for kissing her little cat on the forehead. Or why someone would think that a cat sitting in the sink is cause for breaking up with their girlfriend, which is what happened in today’s story. Cats sit in sinks all the time. It’s cute. It’s adorable. We don’t get it.
