Ed Sheeran’s impromptu street performance in Bengaluru, India was cut short after a police officer literally pulled the plug on the world famous pop star.
The “Shape of You” singer was busking in the streets of Bengaluru ahead of his stadium show in the city on Saturday night. According to the Times of India, police offers were unaware of Sheeran’s identity, and the singer had not been granted permission to stage a public performance by the Cubbon Park Police or the Church Street Association.
Sheeran is amidst an extensive Indian tour that runs through the middle of February. He’s next due to play shows in China, the UAE, and Qatar, before embarking on a proper European stadium tour this summer. Fans get tickets to his upcoming dates here.
